The method

Master the day-to-day, move what matters forward

LeviMensa works on two levels that complement each other. The Run lets you handle each day's flow with confidence and a lighter mind. The Build moves the goals that really matter forward, quarter after quarter.

The problem

Your head isn't meant to be a reminder board

Emails, messaging apps, meetings, sticky notes, notebooks: requests come from everywhere. Nobody can follow that many channels without getting lost. So we keep it all in our heads, we react to whatever is urgent, and in the evening we go home tired without having moved forward on what matters.

The Run: the day-to-day

Handle the day-to-day with confidence

The Run is the foundation of the method. It frees your mental load and gives you a reliable system for everything that comes in.

  1. 1. Centralise

Everything that comes in goes through two or three inboxes, no more. A funnel rather than a scatter.

  2. 2. Filter

For each item, a first question: is this one of my roles? If not, you discard it or pass it to the right person, with no follow-up needed. This is the “not my role, not my problem” filter.

  3. 3. Clarify

Each item becomes a precise next action (a verb, details, a purpose) or a desired outcome, written as if already done: “Birthday party organised”.

  4. 4. Organise

Your actions go into concrete lists, sorted by duration, energy, person, place or tool. In front of a clear list, you decide fast.

  5. 5. Do

You work in focus beats of 5 to 45 minutes, separated by real breaks. What you do depends on your energy at that moment.

  6. 6. Maintain

A weekly maintenance of about an hour, in three stages: update, step back, reset.

Three techniques you'll use from tomorrow

  • The bookmark. Before dealing with an interruption, take a few seconds to note what you would have done in the next five minutes. 43% of people interrupted in a task never return to it; with the bookmark, you pick up the thread effortlessly.
  • Inbox zero in two passes. First pass: you set aside everything that requires no action. Second pass: you turn the rest into next actions, then archive.
  • Tiny behaviours. For a habit to stick, you anchor it to the end of an existing routine (“After I…, I will…”) and celebrate right away. The celebration makes all the difference.

The Build: Supercycles

Move what matters forward, quarter after quarter

A well-run day-to-day isn't enough to move big projects forward. That is the role of the Build. A Supercycle lasts thirteen weeks: twelve weeks of execution, then one week of review.

  • 1 to 3 goals, never more, each anchored in one of your roles.
  • Weekly actions: two to four per goal, entirely within your control.
  • Strategic blocks: one or two half-days a week, blocked in your calendar and reserved for these goals.
  • An execution score: the share of your actions completed each week, with a target of 85%. Consistency over perfection.
  • Week 13: review, celebration, recharge and preparation for the next cycle.

In the calendar Availability blocks Protected strategic blocks
Ritual The weekly maintenance The weekly maintenance, plus the week's score

The foundations

A method grounded in cognitive science

LeviMensa was created by Romain Bisseret, author of the book “Organisation for peace of mind”. It draws on the work of Jean-Philippe Lachaux (INSERM) on attention, who gave us the bookmark technique, and on BJ Fogg (Stanford) in behaviour design, which underpins the work on tiny behaviours.

What participants say
