How is the LeviMensa method different?
The LeviMensa method stands out for its practicality and pragmatism, replacing the imposed discipline of other methods with a chosen regularity.
It's a methodological compilation based on a synthesis of best practices and academic work (INSERM, Stanford) on cognition, as well as on over ten years of feedback from the field.
The method doesn't settle for theory: it retains only what works for everyone, validated by the trainees' own practice and experience.
So, whatever the order in which you put the different building blocks in place, a coherent system emerges naturally, lightening the mental load and making organization more fluid and enjoyable.
how does a day with leviMensa work in practice?
The LeviMensa day begins and ends with a routine: a morning routine to condition the brain, and an evening routine to de-condition it. It's essential to work from lists, never from your head, to free up the mental load. The method structures the day according to each person's chronotype, with well-placed breaks: in the morning, the routine is followed by background work (concentration list); mid- or late-morning, the background work continues; the lunch break is ideally followed by a short walk and a micro-nap; the early afternoon is reserved for social activities, meetings and interactions. this organization optimizes energy and productivity while preserving well-being.
what are the tools and key steps in the leviMensa method?
The LeviMensa method is based on a number of concrete tools, like the ingredients of a recipe: concrete lists, role mapping, results mapping, routines, weekly maintenance, and so on.
The method encourages you to centralize all information and tasks in inboxes, clarify the actions to be taken, regularly organize your lists and review your objectives every quarter.
The aim is to transform raw information into organized action, with regular routines and maintenance to keep your mind light and aligned with your priorities.
Once the fundamentals are in place, an "advanced" section structures the achievement of major objectives in 12-week cycles.
What's the difference with GTD (Getting Things Done®), which you've represented in the past?
LeviMensa® addresses a different issue. Where methods such as GTD® (or PARA®) effectively structure task management, LeviMensa focuses above all on actual execution capacity: energy, attention, rhythm, arbitration, as well as the achievement of objectives over time (in 12-week cycles).
Participants who have already used organization methods often find that they can simplify their system by adopting the LeviMensa method, as it directly integrates the human execution issues that quickly become the limiting factor.
The quickest and easiest way is to start with the book. Whether you've already used other methods or not, it's an excellent starting point that will give you both the building blocks to create your own usable system in less than an hour, as well as an overview of how to organize and direct your attention throughout the day.
You can also come directly to the training sessions, even without having read the book; they are designed to enable you to leave with a system in place, ready to use, and an inbox at or near zero.
Coaching, and especially the Circle, are reserved for LeviMensistes, who have already been putting the method into action for a few months.
Is it still useful in the age of AI?
For a long time, the method ate the tool for breakfast. The arrival of AI is changing this, as AI agents can now execute methods on tools. In this sense, the LeviMensa method is highly relevant, as it can be integrated into the intelligent prompts of an agentic AI... in fact, this is the best way to use it if you ever want to delegate the management of your inboxes (email and other) to an AI that will fill your to-do lists with next actions, or decide for you which actions to take in your 12-week cycles to achieve your predefined goals.
And if you don't understand the above, or if you prefer to decide your next actions on your own, the method is perfect for you as a person :)
